Distinctive Look Sets Komatsu’s Parts Group Apart
Challenge: The parts division of Komatsu needed a unique look to distinguish them from the equipment materials group and competitors.
Solution: We took a look at competing designs to see how to make ours stand out. We took a different approach with a striking design featuring a “grunge” look that was not only distinctive, but also acted to camouflage fingerprints and smudges. A number of brochures detailing remanufactured products and a program identity for the “head block crank” program were the first elements of the new marketing program. Additional components included walk around guides with callouts for key replacement part components and 30+ individual machine single-sheet quick-reference guides to easily find part numbers.
Results: This distinctive image would be applied to a system of collateral materials for use by distributors and repair facilities to aid in sales.
